One805's "Rock for First Responders" Raises $350k
Rock for First Responders proved to be an emotional and powerful evening that raised $300,000 to support mental wellness programs for First Responders in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, as well as musicians who have lost their livelihoods due to recent disasters.
Why We Hosted This Event:
- The Palisades and Eaton Fires in Los Angeles placed immense physical and emotional strain on emergency crews.
- Santa Barbara County deployed 25 strike teams, many working 50-hour shifts with just four hours of rest.
- One of their most difficult assignments was to assist in the recovery of human remains — an emotionally devastating task.
- These events highlighted the critical need for expanded mental wellness support for first responders.
- In the Eaton Fire, several working musicians lost everything — their homes, instruments, and livelihoods were destroyed overnight.
- The music community, which has always stood by One805, now needed support in return.
How the Funds Will Be Used:
- 50% will support Santa Barbara County First Responders
- 25% will support Los Angeles First Responders
- 25% will go to working musicians affected by the fires
- All distributions will be made through a grant application and review process, guided by One805’s Celebrity Board and Advisory Board.
Who Performed & Made It Happen:

- Darius Rucker and Hootie & the Blowfish flew in with their full band and crew, generously donating their time and talent.
